QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE
Psalm 100:3a – “Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;” & Ephesians 1:4a – “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world,)”. God is the Author and Creator of life. God created us and the Bible says He knew us even before the “foundation of the world.” – We need to respect life; we need to respect the life of the innocent unborn children especially.
WHO CREATED HUMAN LIFE? (Genesis 2:7 – And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.) The Bible says He is our God even before we are born. (Psalm 22:10 – I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.) God is our maker. He formed us. He designed us. (Isaiah 44:2a – Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb,).
WHEN DOES LIFE BEGIN? Jeremiah 1:5 answers this question. It says “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee,” So at the moment of conception God already knows us. Before anyone else even knows us, God already knows us and loves us and gave His life that we might have life eternal with Him in Heaven. If life begins at conception, then can the unborn have feelings? Can they feel emotion or pain? Do they recognize voices? (Luke 1:44 – For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.) – The answer to those questions is yes. They can feel joy, they can hear their mother’s voice, and they can feel pain.
President Reagan said “We cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion or infanticide…. There is no cause more important for preserving that freedom than affirming the transcendent right to life of all human beings…”
Human Life Begins Before Birth at conception. There is a belief widely held today about the unborn, a belief not found in the Bible, that in the early stages of pregnancy, a separate human life does not exist in the womb, but rather a collection of cells that may be regarded as just a part of the mother’s body. It is wrongfully believed that the mother is free at this stage to destroy this so called tissue, because it is not yet a child or a babe, God forbid! The Bible, in the way it describes conception and pregnancy, lends no support to that belief. The Bible speaks of that which is conceived and developing in an expectant mother’s womb as a “child” or “babe”.
• Rebekah had “children…. within her” (Genesis 25:22)
• Job speaks of “the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived” (Job 3:3).
• Elizabeth had “conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her”, and the “babe leaped in her womb” (Luke 1:36, 41).
The main reason why abortion is so common is the belief that early abortion is not killing a child, but merely preventing one from coming into being. Abortion would almost cease to exist if people could just come to understand and accept the Bible teaching that a “child” is “conceived in the womb“.
WHOSE IMAGE ARE WE CREATED IN? (Genesis 1:26-28a – And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth,) Only man was created in God’s own image. Not animals, man did not evolve over millions of years. We are not descendents of apes or monkeys. God created us in His image and God breathed the breath of life in us. All life comes from God, but human life is set apart from all other life, in that it was God Breathed. (Genesis 2:7 – And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.) The Bible is clear on this subject, “God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
Can we tell the moment of each person’s creation by God? Science offers a clear answer that perfectly complements the teaching of Scripture. Dr. Alfred M. Bongiovanni, professor of obstetrics at the University of Pennsylvania, states, “I have learned from my earliest medical education that human life begins at the time of conception. I submit that human life is present throughout this entire sequence from conception to adulthood and that any interruption at any point throughout this time constitutes a termination of human life.” Speaking of the early stages of a child’s development in the womb, Professor Bongiovanni says, “I am no more prepared to say that these early stages represent an incomplete human being than I would be to say that the child prior to the dramatic effects of puberty is not a human being. This is human life at every stage.” Every scientific indication, is that at the moment of each person’s creation, is the moment of his conception. Before that moment the individual did not exist, and from that moment on he will exist for all eternity. Either alive on earth or after his death with the Lord or in an eternal Hell.
IS IT WRONG TO MURDER A PERSON? – Few people would object to the statement that murder is wrong. Murder is the unjustified and unlawful terminating of human life.(Genesis 9:6 – Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man & Matthew 19:18 – He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,)See also Mark 10:19; Luke 18:20; John 8:44; Acts 3:14.
The Bible tells us those that commit murder are worthy of death. (Romans 1:29,32 -Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.)Historically, the standard of men, even apart from knowing God, or being a Christian, is that taking the life of an innocent person is wrong and worthy of death. So by God’s commandments and word, and historically by mans laws, murdering an innocent person is wrong and worthy of death.
SO THE NEXT QUESTION IS – IS THE UNBORN A PERSON? – We have established by God and mans standards and laws, it is wrong to murder a person. So let’s look at some qualities or characteristics the Bible assigns and gives to the unborn to answer this question. The unborn possess personal attributes such as sin and joy. In Psalm 51:5, David says, “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” and in Luke 1:44 the Bible says “For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.” The unborn baby experienced joy at hearing the voice of Mary. Unborn children experience emotions just like us. The Bible also uses personal pronouns to describe unborn children. (Jeremiah 1:5 – Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.)
The Bible says regarding the conception of Jesus in Matthew 1:20 – “But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.” The Angel of God, the messenger from the Sovereign of the universe, told Joseph “that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.” From the very moment of conception the Angel is telling Joseph that Jesus was indeed a person at conception. “That which is conceived”, means a child that was fathered, a life being brought forth or to cause life to start.
The unborn are called “babe” or children. (Luke 1:41 & 44 – And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.) The word “babe” here means either an unborn child or a new born child. The term was used interchangeably. No difference was placed on the unborn or the newly born, they were considered the same. The unborn are personally and intimately known by God, starting in the womb at conception, the same way He would know any other person. God, in the Bible, talking about the prophet Jeremiah, said in Jeremiah 1:5 – “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Think about this verse for awhile. God had already ordained Jeremiahs future service to Him as a prophet before he was even born. What has God had planned for you since the moment of your conception? Think about that and pray about that, and with everything you got, seek to fulfill His purpose for your life.
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SPECIFICALLY SAY ABOUT THE TAKING OF THE LIFE OF AN UNBORN PERSON? (Exodus 21:22-23 – If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,) This passage is talking about women through the fault of a third party having a premature birth of their child. “her fruit depart from her”, means the baby comes out alive. So the person causing this pays a fine. But the part of this passage that says “if any mischief follow”, means if any injury or death occurs. According to this verse if the death of the unborn child occurs, the person who caused this to happen should pay with his life as well, “any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life” So this passage is crystal clear on the subject. It places equal value on the life of the unborn and the life of the mother. It tells us those that cause the death of the unborn should have their life taken from them as well, they are guilty of murder.
WHAT IS ABORTION? According to the Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary “abortion” is – “the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus….” The issue of abortion has to do with the morality of a person’s choice to “terminate” the pregnancy, not a miscarriage that happens naturally. Abortion stops the natural process of human development within the mother’s womb. The purpose of abortion is to empty the mother’s womb, which results in the death of the tiny, innocent, defenseless human being. Because the Bible recognizes the unborn as being fully human (Psalm 139:13 – For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.) Abortion is undoubtedly murder of the worst most, wicked kind. (Jeremiah 2:34 – Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these. & Deuteronomy 19:10 – That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.)
IN CONCLUSION – God is the Author and Creator of life. God controls the timing of our birth. He wanted us born when we were born, where we were born and to whom we were born. He has a reason and a purpose for everyone. At the moment of conception God already knows us. Before anyone else even knows us, God already knows us and loves us and gave His life that we might have life eternal with Him in Heaven. What is conceived in the womb is a “child” — a baby human being however very small. We should understand that destroying what has begun to form in the womb is taking the life of a child. We could not justify such action before God. Only man was created in God’s own image. Not animals, man did not evolve over millions of years. God created us in His image and God breathed the breath of life in us. All life comes from God, but human life is set apart from all other life, in that it was God Breathed. (Genesis 2:7 – And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.)Our bodies are not our own. Neither is someone’s body that is unborn. Not one has a right over their own bodies or the bodies of the unborn. We all belong to God. We are created in his image. We must honor and respect the sanctity of God given life.

ANNUAL ABORTION STATISTICS
• In 2011, approximately 1.06 million abortions took place in the U.S., down from an estimated 1.21 million abortions in 2008, 1.29 million in 2002, 1.31 million in 2000 and 1.36 million in 1996. From 1973 through 2011, nearly 53 million legal abortions have occurred in the U.S. (AGI).
• Based on available state-level data, an estimated 1.04 million abortions took place in 2012—down from an estimated 1.16 million abortions in 2009 and 1.13 million abortions in 2010.
• In 2011, the highest number of reported abortions occurred in California (181,730), New York (138,370) and Florida (84,990); the fewest occurred in Wyoming (120), South Dakota (600) and North Dakota (1,250) (AGI).
• The 2011 abortion rates by state ranged from a low of 3.8 abortions per 1,000 women aged 15-44 in Mississippi (Wyoming had too few abortions for reliable tabulation) to a high of 28.6 abortions per 1,000 women aged 15-44 in New York (AGI).
• The annual number of legal induced abortions in the United States doubled between 1973 and 1979, and peaked in 1990. There was a slow but steady decline through the 1990’s. Overall, the number of annual abortions decreased by 6% between 2000 and 2009, with temporary spikes in 2002 and 2006 (CDC).
• In 2011, 17% of legal induced abortions occurred in California (AGI).
• The US abortion rate is similar to those of Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden but higher than those of other Western European countries (NAF).

WHO HAS ABORTIONS?
• In 2010, unmarried women accounted for 85% of all abortions (CDC).
• Women living with a partner to whom they are not married account for 25% of abortions but only about 10% of women in the population (NAF).
• In 2010, women who had not aborted in the past accounted for 55.6% of all abortions; women with one or two prior abortions accounted for 36.7%, and women with three or more prior abortions accounted for 7.7% (CDC).
• Among women who obtained abortions in 2010, 40.3% had no prior live births; 45.9% had one or two prior live births, and 13.8% had three or more prior live births (CDC).
• Women between the ages of 20-24 obtained 32.9% of all abortions in 2010; women between 25-29 obtained 24.5% (CDC).
• Women in their 20’s have the highest abortion rates. In 2010, women aged 20-24 had 27.4 abortions for every one thousand 20-24 year-old women. Women aged 25-29 had 20.4 abortions for every one thousand 25-29 year-old women (CDC).

WHY DO ABORTIONS OCCUR?
• On average, women give at least 3 reasons for choosing abortion: 3/4 say that having a baby would interfere with work, school or other responsibilities; about 3/4 say they cannot afford a child; and 1/2 say they do not want to be a single parent or are having problems with their husband or partner (AGI).
• Only 12% of women included a physical problem with their health among reasons for having an abortion (NAF).
• One per cent (of aborting women) reported that they were the survivors of rape (NAF).
WHEN DO ABORTIONS OCCUR?
• 89-92% of all abortions happen during the first trimester, prior to the 13th week of gestation (AGI/CDC).
• In 2010, 6.9% of all abortions occurred between 14-20 weeks’ gestation; 1.2% occurred ≥21 weeks’ gestation (CDC).

• *Gestational weeks are measured from the first day of the woman’s last menstruation and not from the day of conception. Though it does not provide an accurate fetal age (which is roughly 2 weeks less than the gestational age), it is the simplest way for an OB/GYN to age a pregnancy since the day of conception is often not known. Hence, if an abortion occurs at 8 weeks gestation, it is actually aborting a 6 week embryo. HOW DOES ABORTION TAKE PLACE?
• In 2010, 80.5% of reported abortions were accomplished by curettage (which includes dilatation and evacuation). Most curettage abortions are suction procedures (CDC).
• Medical abortions made up approximately 17.8% of all abortions reported (CDC).
• Ninety-six per cent of the more than 140,000 second-trimester abortions that occur annually in the USA are accomplished by dilation and evacuation (D&E) (NAF).
WHO IS DOING THE ABORTIONS?
• The number of abortion providers declined by 4% between 2008 and 2011—from 1,793 to 1,720 (AGI).
• Forty-two percent of providers offer very early abortions (during the first four weeks’ gestation) and 95% offer abortion at eight weeks. Sixty-four percent of providers offer at least some second-trimester abortion services (13 weeks or later), and 20% offer abortion after 20 weeks. Eleven percent of all abortion providers offer abortions past 24 weeks (AGI).
• Most abortions in the USA are provided in freestanding clinics; in 2005, only 5% occurred in hospitals, down from 22% in 1980, and only 2% took place in physician’s offices (NAF).
ABORTION FATALITY
• In 2009, 8 women died as a result of complications from known legal induced abortion; From 1973-2009, 411 women have died as a result of legal abortion (CDC).
• The number of deaths attributable to legal induced abortion was highest before the 1980s (CDC).
• In 1972 (the year before abortion was federally legalized), a total of 24 women died from causes known to be associated with legal abortions, and 39 died as a result of known illegal abortions (CDC).
Exodus 4:10 “And Moses said unto the LORD, O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.”

SIN, CONSEQUENCES AND YOUR FRIENDSHIPS
Numbers 32:23 “But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.”
THE CONSEQUENCE OF SIN
Our nation is becoming more and more sinful; and people don’t seem to care. What happens when we sin? When we wink at sin? – There is a price to pay! Sin = actions by which people rebel against God, miss His purpose for their life and surrender to the power of evil rather than God. Sin has its roots in the inner man. Matthew 15:18-20 “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.” God will not condone sin, by His very nature He cannot do it.
When you choose to sin; you put a barrier between God and yourself. Isaiah 59:2 “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” Sin ruins relationships between you and others too; sin is the root cause of ruined relationships. James 4:1-2 says “From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.”
FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD OR THE WORLD?
II Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”
There are only two people who know the true condition of your heart – God & you! Humans are very sinful by nature; we are constantly surrounded by sin. As Christians, we need regular spiritual checkups to monitor our spiritual conditions. Friendships with the world can lead us into sin. James 4:4 “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” There is nothing wrong with having fun in life or enjoying activities, or having interest we are passionate about and derive joy and pleasure from, just make sure this enjoyment you get is not at the expense of others and not at the expense of disobeying God.
• James 1:27 “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” A true Christian, who sincerely desires to live like the Lord, will remain true to God and “keep himself unspotted from the world.”
• Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Do not conform to this world or its enticements. Do not let yourself get molded by the sinful thinking of this world, but rather you seek to influence this world toward Christ.
• James 2:23 “And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.” Instead of trying to be friends with the world, cultivate a friendship with God. This means you need to work on your relationship with Him. Our friendship with Christ will lead us to a deeper love for Christ and the things of Christ. (I John 4:19 – We love him, because he first loved us.)

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” I John 5:4
Sin has consequences. Our nation is becoming more and more sinful by the day. But we do not need to become friends with this sin. We do not need to let this sin lead us from God and into a warped and sinful type of thinking. We don’t need to let the world mold our thinking to fit is sinful aspirations. Instead we need to let our minds be conformed unto Christ. We need to develop our relationships with Christ. Set out a goal to have Christ become your best friend if he is not already. We need to be seeking Him out and not the world. Instead of the world influencing us we need to seek to be a Godly witness and influence to the world. (Matthew 5:13-16 – Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.)
I Chronicles 13:4 – “And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.”
Whose eyes is your actions right in?
Whose eye’s are your words right in?
Is it right in your own eyes?
Is it right in your friend’s eyes?
Is right in the world’s eyes?
Or is it right in the Lord’s eyes?
During the period of the Judges the ark of the Lord had been captured and carried away by the Philistines. Because possession of the ark caused them nothing but trouble they placed it on a cart and sent it back to Israel (I Samuel 6). From that time on it had remained at the house of Abinadab at Kirjath-jearim. Now we pick up where David is attempting to bring it back to his capital city of Jerusalem.
Who did David consult before he attempted this? – Did David enquire of the Lord like he had in time past? (I Chronicles 13:1 – And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader.)
David consulted with every leader or person he could find to get advice from, but He left someone very important out of the equation. He did not ask God. (Proverbs 8:17 -I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.) How often do you talk with your friends, family or even co-workers about a decision you need to make but you don’t talk with God about it? We need to be getting our direction and guidance from the Lord. His will and His word need to take the preeminence in our life. Not our will or our friends will. (Colossians 1:18 – And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.)
Let’s look at David’s history about seeking the Lord out about decisions:
• I Samuel 23:2 – Therefore David inquired of the LORD…
• I Samuel 23:4 – Then David inquired of the LORD yet again….
• I Samuel 30:8 – And David inquired at the LORD…..
• 2 Samuel 2:1 – David inquired of the LORD….
• 2 Samuel 5:19 – And David inquired of the LORD…..
• 2 Samuel 5:23 – And when David inquired of the LORD…..
• 2 Samuel 21:1 – David inquired of the LORD…..
• I Chronicles 14:10 – And David inquired of God….
Every time when he had a big decision to make, a big heartache he needed comfort from or a struggle or persecution he was going through David “enquired of the Lord” and received the direction and answer to prayer he needed. But this time he did not “enquire of the Lord” instead he “consulted with the captains” and the end result was not good. The end result of this bad decision was failure, heartache, death, and discouragement. When we go off without praying to the Lord about something first we risk ruin. The Lord won’t fail you when you pray and “enquire of the Lord” for direction in your life. He will answer you in His timing. (Philippians 4:6 – Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.)
Whose eye’s was it right in? – That action you are taking or that decision you are making, is it right in the Lord’s eyes or is it right just in your eyes? (I Chronicles 13:4 – And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.) We need to take our time and make sure decisions are right in the eyes of the Lord. We need to be concerned with doing things right for the Lord, and doing things right by the Lord in our life. Do not trust your own wisdom in making decisions. (Proverbs 3:5,6 – Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.) Turn to the Lord our Heavenly Father for instruction and guidance. Turn your problems over to Him. He will never leave you alone in your cares. (Hebrews 13:5c – for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.) – The Lord will always be there for you. You are never really alone if you are a Christian. Make sure you are confident that it is right in the Lord’s eyes before you make that decision. (Proverbs 3:26 – For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.)
A right thing. (I Chronicles 13:6 – And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kirjathjearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God the LORD, that dwelleth between the cherubims, whose name is called on it.) What David was attempting to do was a good thing to do. If he would have just done it God’s way. So many things we do can be considered a good thing to do, but only if it does not contradict God’s word on the matter.
A right thing in a wrong way. (I Chronicles 13:7 – And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart.) God had given explicit directions on how to transport the ark. Other parts of the tabernacle could be carried on carts but not the ark. (Numbers 4:15 – And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.) The ark was never to be carried on a cart but born on the shoulders of the sons of Kohath. Why? Because the ark speaks of Christ and the Gospel is to be carried by us (Christians) to the rest of the world. (Mark 13:10 – And the gospel must first be published among all nations.) Giving out the gospel is the individual responsibility of every Christian. (Acts 1:8 – But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.)
There should be no shortcuts taken in giving out the Gospel of Christ to a needy world. If we are doing something for Christ it should be done in a top notch, giving it our all way. Taking God’s word out to the world is not an easy thing to do. It requires hard work, dedication to doing it God’s way and not our way. (Romans 12:1,2 – I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.) Each Christian needs to do his part and not leave his part up to someone else to do in addition to their own part. The Apostle Paul says “For every man shall bear his own burden.” Galatians 6:5. “All of us have to put our shoulders to the wheel to get the Word of God out to a world that desperately needs it. God doesn’t write the gospel in the sky; it has to be passed along by His children.” – J. Vernon McGee.
So The End Result of Doing things our own way and not God’s way leads to failure, displeasure and maybe even death. (I Chronicles 13:9-10 – And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.) Good intentions do not justify bad actions. The end does not justify the means.
Why was Uzza killed? – Because they were transporting the ark their way instead of doing it God’s way. (Numbers 4:15 – …. but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.) Uzza interfered with what was happening. He directly disobeyed God’s word. Don’t interfere and cause a hindrance to the Lord’s work.
Numbers 20:12 – “And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.”
• Moses directly disobeyed God and because of that the Lord would not let him into the promised land.
• Don’t cause your friend to get distracted while God’s word is being taught. Don’t be the reason they don’t here the lesson they need.
• Don’t be the reason your friend spends eternity in hell. Don’t put your way over God’s spirit moving in their soul. Let the death of Uzza teach you something about being irreverent (disrespectful) to the things of God.
• God is a Holy God.
• God’s word is Holy.
• God’s house is Holy.
• Everything about God is Holy and it is all to be treated with the utmost respect and reverence. (I Peter 1:15-16 -But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.)
• When Gods word is being taught we need to be respectful and honor His word and the teaching of it. (Psalm 99:9 – Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.)
• When God’s people are requesting prayer we need to be silent and listen to those requests and pray for each other. (Jude 20 – But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,)
• When Gods word is being read we need to silently and intently listen to His Holy Word. (Romans 7:12 – Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.)
Doing things our way brings us displeasure. (I Chronicles 13:11 – And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzza: wherefore that place is called Perezuzza to this day.) When we fail doing something our way we often blame God. (I Chronicles 13:12 – And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?) David asks “How am I going to do this for God” – Well if he had just done it God’s way in the first place all of this heartache, displeasure, fear, and discouragement would not have happened.
We need to make sure when we are making a decision in life or taking an action that we are doing it right in God’s eyes. We need to make sure whatever we do that we are doing it God’s way. If we do something our way it will just lead to failure, disappointment, regret, and maybe even death. But God’s way leads to joy, victory and life eternal with Him! (I Corinthians 15:57 – But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.) Whose eyes are your actions right in? Whose eyes are your words right in? Whose eyes are your friends right in? Whose eyes are your plans right in? If they are right in just your eyes you are heading for trouble, sorrow and maybe even death; but if they are right in God’s eyes you are heading for a fulfilled joy filled life living in the heart of God’s will.
Soul winning is the most effective work.
John 1:41-42 – “He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is being interpreted, the Christ. And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.”
Andrew did not win 3000 at Pentecost, but he was the one who won the one that won 3000 at Pentecost. We don’t have to be the soul winner that gets the prize for winning the most soul’s, we just have to be willing to win the one like Andrew did.
A man went into a shoe store in Boston one day and won a boy to Christ, that boy went on to win countless thousands to Christ. Now there are probably untold millions in Heaven or on their way to Heaven because of that boy who worked in the shoe store. That boy was D.L. Moody, we don’t have to be a D.L. Moody but we should try to be the one, like Kimball, that wins the one like a D.L. Moody who wins the countless thousands to Christ, now if you would trace the Christian family tree down the line, from Moody, there are probably millions in Heaven as a result of Mr. Kimball winning just that one little boy in the shoe store to Christ.
If we are Christians we are to be soul winners.
The bible says in Genesis 1:11-12 that everything will reproduce after its’ own kind. So if we are Christians we should be producing Christians, or in other words in some way or somehow we should be influencing others to make salvation decisions for Christ. Proverbs 11:30 says the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life. Our fruit is a tree of life, the souls we win are part of a tree of life. Like a family tree we have, the souls we win become part of the eternal tree of life of Christians, the man that won me to the Lord is my Father in Christ in this tree of life. We are to win souls and reproduce other Christians, the Bible says everything is to reproduce after its own kind, so the people who we lead to Christ become part of our eternal tree of life. Paul said in I Corinthians 4:15 – “For though you have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the Gospel.”
Proverbs 11:30 – “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise”
Daniel 12:3 – “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever”
The Bile says hear he that winneth souls is wise in Proverbs 11:30 and in Daniel 12:3 it says the wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and in Daniel it says “and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever” We will be rewarded for winning souls to Christ not with just wisdom though that is reward enough in itself, but with other rewards as well. Turn many to righteousness is another way of saying winneth souls. And in Proverbs 11:30 the fruit of the righteous or saved is a tree of life, or a family tree of other Christians we have led to the Lord. I think these two verses really go well together they help explain each other.
“Our main business, brethren, is to win souls. Like the shoeing-smiths, we need to know a great many things; but just as the smith must know about horses, and how to make shoes for them, so we must know about souls, and how to win them for God.” Charles Spurgeon.
The Musts of a good Soul Winner
He must have the right tool for the job – his Bible.
He must have a good Christian character.
He must be living his faith.
He must believe in the message of salvation – he should be saved.
He must believe in the power of that message to save people.
He must be burdened to see people freed from the bondage of their sin.
He must be a praying Christian, praying for the lost to come to Christ.
He must be willing to take on the role of a servant to help win the lost, as Christ did.
And finally, he simply just must go, go out and seek to win the lost for Christ. Fulfill the Great Commission.

Colossians 3:23-24 – “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”
Whenever we do work we should do that work as if unto the Lord, not as if we were working for man. For doing so we’ll be given an inheritance from the Lord.We need to keep in mind it is not our will but His will we are to obey. We need to keep in mind that it is the Pastor who is to lead the church and direct which ministries the church will have. It is our job or our work to volunteer to do the work in the church that is necessary to help further the vision the Pastor is leading the church in. The Pastor gets the burden and the vision from the Lord; it is our responsibility as church members to support in our efforts the vision from the Lord for our church, the Pastor has communicated to us. Church members need to be eager to volunteer wherever needed; in so doing they are fulfilling their part to enable the church to fulfill the Great Commission – Matthew 28:18-20 – ” And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
We need to predetermine when we get a call of God on our life or sense the Lords leading in our life in an area of service for Him that we will surrender to that call or that leading right away. Do not make excuses to God as to why you cannot do such and such a thing for Him. People may say “I aint’ never done it that way before” or “We never did it that way where I came from“. Excuses like that will not work with God. You instead need to be willing to forsake all and serve Him according to His will with your life. God will enable you to do the ministry He is calling you to do. (I Timothy 1:12 – And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;). True surrender to God will always go beyond natural devotion, it will continue once we think we physically can’t go on anymore; true surrender will continue on through the power of Christ sustaining us. (Philippians 1:6 – Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ)
Those around Jesus criticized Him for eating with publicans and sinners but Jesus gave the best answer in verses 31 & 32 of Luke chapter 5 “And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” If those who think themselves super religious, criticize your church or your ministry in your church, because it is full of sinners, praise God you are in the trenches doing the work of the Lord; and them by their criticism, they demonstrate their distance from the heart and will of our Savior. In order to minister to those who need it most, you are going to need to sacrifice a little, there is going to be a little more noise around the church, things will get dirtier than normal, stains will happen, more wear and tear on furniture and carpet will occur, vehicles will need repair, but all that is a good thing; it shows you are actively seeking to minister to those around you. (Proverbs 14:4 – Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.) – Your ministry or your church will not grow unless you personally are working, sacrificing and actively seeking to reach out in ministry.
Romans 1:18-22 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,”
A knowledge of God was imprinted on every human heart. There is no excuse to deny God or to say He does not exist. The evidences of a Creator God are all around us to be clearly seen. Those that teach and promote lifestyles that are contrary to God’s Word are setting themselves up as knowing better then God. In doing this what they really are doing is showing themselves to be fools. The Bible tells us those who think they are the enlightened ones, the tolerant ones, are actually fools who have knowingly denied God, denied His precepts, and denied His righteous authority.
When you deny God you are deny yourself true and lasting happiness. When you deny God you are denying yourself eternal life and sentencing yourself to eternal damnation in Hell. Those who preach tolerance of sinful lifestyles and try to cloak it in the guise of christian sounding words are committing a most heinous and sinful deception. If they truly believe the arguments they espouse they are the epitome of what Paul states in II Timothy 3:8 “Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. “
God imprinted a knowledge of Himself on every human heart. Man is without excuse in denying God. God gave us the Bible His Holy Word. Filled with His moral code man is to live by. The intolerant left wants to deny God and wants to deny His moral precepts He gave us in and through His word. You are not intolerant nor a bigot if you believe and live by God’s word. Matthew 9:12 “But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.” Pray for the healing power of the Lord Jesus Christ to come to our nation.
THE SIN OF HOMOSEXUALITY
(Romans 1:21-32)
Romans 1:26,28 – “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;” God’s word is clear on the subject of homosexuality. This is a sin. This is a perversion. This is not an alternate lifestyle. This does not equate with a heterosexual relationship. Homosexuality should not be granted the same status as a heterosexual relationship. Both homosexual and lesbian relationships are condemned in the Bible. God only approves of monogamous heterosexual relationships inside the bonds of marriage. All other sexual relationships both heterosexual and homosexual are a sin and condemned as such.
One Nation under God? – In our pledge we recall the heritage of our nation and declare we are “one nation under God”, but are we “under God” or have we left Him? (Psalm 33:12 – Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.) Let’s examine some of the sins that are now condoned or even encouraged by the leaders of our nation and the policies and laws they have put in place. (Proverbs 14:34 – Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.)
• Abortion – the taking of the life of an unborn child. Life begins at conception. Could a nation that condones this be considered “under God”? (Jeremiah 1:5 – Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee,…)
• Fornication and Adultery – the whole nation seems to have lost its moral compass when it comes to this issue. The Bible is very clear on the issue of sex outside of the marriage bed. (Hebrews 13:4 – Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.)
• Homosexuality – this is still a sin. No matter who may have “evolved” their opinion on this, a sin is a sin is a sin. And this particular sin is a perversion and thoroughly condemned as such in the Holy Scriptures. (Romans 1:26-28, 32 – For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.)
What our nation needs is revival if we hope to truly be a nation “under God” again. Christians are the key to this revival happening. We have to do our part to help bring revival about. We need to live separated, dedicated lives for Christ. Seeking to do his business on earth and follow his commandments for our life. (II Chronicles 7:14 – If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.)
Both lesbianism and homosexuality are condemned in Romans chapter 1. (Romans 1:26-27 – For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.) God only approves of monogamous, heterosexual relationships in marriage. God condemns adultery both before and during marriage. Homosexuality and lesbianism is called “vile affections” in verse 26. Verse 26 says that they are against nature. Verse 27 tells us the precursor of this sin is lust “burned in their lust one toward another”.
The Bible says Homosexuality is a sin. It is a learned, chosen and unnatural sinful behavior which the Bible and our laws refer to as “sodomy”. Deuteronomy 23:17 – “There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.”, Leviticus 18:22 – “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” & in our text Romans 1:32 tell us “that they which commit such things are worthy of death.”
• Until December 1973 the American Psychiatric Association’s diagnostic manual listed homosexuality as a mental disorder. In December of 1973 under pressure from gay rights groups the board of the APA voted to remove it from the manual.
• In reference to this decision acclaimed New York psychiatrist Charles Socarides said in a Time Magazine report “It is flying in the face of the one fact that we know which is that male and female are programmed to mate with the opposite sex, and this is the story of …. any society that hopes to survive.” Socarides also claimed that the vote for the removal of homosexuality from the APA’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, won by a 65% majority rule, was heavily influenced by a letter sent by the National Gay Task Force to the 18,000 APA members asking them to support its removal. Only just over half of the APA members voted in this referendum. The National Gay Task Force spent over $3000 on printing and mailing the brochure to the APA members. A detail that was not revealed prior to the vote on the issue by the APA members.
• Medically speaking homosexuality is an unhealthy and harmful lifestyle. Examples – AIDS – homosexuals are primarily responsible for the spread of this disease in America. When AIDS was first detected it was called GRID (Gay Related Immune Deficiency). A large portion of gay males have had Hepatitis B, many have various infections and almost half of all the reported cases of syphilis in the United States occur in gay men.
• The Lord will give victory over this sin if we repent, seek His forgiveness, seek His wisdom and walk in His ways.(I Corinthians 6:9,11 – Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.)
• Paul was talking to Christians in the church at Corinth when he said some of them used to be homosexuals and lesbians. God will forgive this sin and help you to get victory over it. (Ephesians 3:20 – Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,)
The Bible say that “Fools make a mock at sin” Proverbs 14:9.
They will say “what’s the big deal” or “it’s not that bad” or “you are just overreacting” They try to trivialize sin to make it less than it is. Does this sound familiar? This is rampant in our country. A good example of this going on in our country right now is the homosexual community. Until the 1970’s homosexuality was classified as a mental illness and was illegal in almost every state. Now they are succeeding in making a mockery of their sin. So much so now they have the President of the United States in support of homosexual marriage! A fool has no desire to learn, but desires only to air his personal opinions. (Proverbs 18:2 – A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.) The homosexual community and those in support of this are good at telling everyone to be tolerant but they are some of the most intolerant people when it comes to a Christian point of view on the subject of their sin.
Proverbs 26:11 tells us a fool will continue to go back to his old base ways. He will continue to go back to his filthy sinful ways. You might be able to pull him away temporarily but he always wants to go back to that sin. Foolishness left unchecked or not gotten out of will pervert one’s life. Foolishness will take a promising life of happiness and serving the Lord and ruin it and throw it all away. (Proverbs 19:3 – The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.) Don’t let this sin get a foothold in your life or mind. Don’t let yourself be conned into thinking it is a good thing to be supportive of homosexuals you may know. Think of it this way, would you be supportive and encourage a drunk to drink more wine and continue in their drunken self destructive behavior or encourage a murderer to continue killing?
The wicked City of Sodom. (Genesis 19:5-7 – And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.) Two angles came to announce judgment on the city of Sodom. Sodom and Gomorrah were going to be destroyed by God because of the awful sins of the people of those two cities. (Genesis 18:20 – And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous) They were all wicked. Wickedness and perversion had become universal in Sodom. They were wicked sinners exceedingly before the Lord. (Genesis 13:13 – But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.) Their wickedness was an unnatural abomination before the Lord. The sin still bears their name and is called Sodomy. Sodomy is an awful sin. (Romans 1:31-32 – Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.) Let’s draw a sharp line here, if something is sin it is sin. There should be no gray area where sin is concerned. All type of sexual contact before marriage is sin. Whether it is heterosexual or homosexual. (I Corinthians 7:1 – Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.) Just because you are against a sin does not mean you are against the sinner. Jesus received sinners, but when they met Jesus their attitude towards their sin changed. They saw it as God saw it. They changed the direction of their lives and repented of their sins. (Luke 5:31-32 – And Jesus answering said unto them,They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.)
The destruction of Sodom. (Genesis 19:23–25 – The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar. Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.)
• God waited for the sun to rise over Sodom and Gomorrah to show that this was no ordinary storm. God rained downed on them fire and brimstone. God demonstrated to the world that sin does not go unpunished. (Jude 1:7 – Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.)
• God overthrew the cities, it was utter destruction. Nothing was left. The end of sin is not satisfaction or happiness but death and destruction. (James 1:5 – Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.) Homosexuality is a sin. This is a perversion of nature and a wicked sin. It is not right to be supportive of this perverted sin. Just like it would not be right to support a drunk in their drunkenness it is not right to support someone in this sinful perversion. The Bible speaks strongly against this sin (Romans 1:21-32, Leviticus 18:22, Deuteronomy 23:17).
The Bible is also very clear that marriage is to be between one man and one woman for one lifetime. God created Eve for Adam (Genesis 2:24 – Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh). God ordained marriage to be between a man and a woman. Men are not to marry men and women are not to marry women. This is not condoned or allowed in the Holy Scriptures.
It is not intolerant to believe God’s word. God is the very epitome of love and inclusion. Christ came and died for all mankind. He died for the very vilest of sinners and He died for you and me. God so loved us all, that He sent His only son to die in our place; So that we could have eternal life and live with Him in Heaven one day. God is love (I John 4:7-10). God loves the sinner but He does not love their sin. As Christians we too should love the sinner but not the sin. You can condemn a sin and that does not mean you are mistreating the sinner.
“Eternal Purpose” – Ephesians 3:10-19
Are you living according to your Eternal Purpose God created you for?
Ephesians 3:11 – “According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:”
Think about your life. Why God created you. Are you living according to the Eternal Purpose that God created you for? Are you living in contrast to that purpose? Do you care either way?

The Lord searches our heart according to Jeremiah 17:10 – “I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” The word “search” in this verse means to penetrate, to examine intimately, to find out what is in it. The Bible says in Matthew 12:34b – “for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” – What comes out of your mouth can be a reflection of what is in your heart.- WHAT IS YOUR REFLECTION REVEALING ABOUT YOU TO OTHERS? – How is your reflection? Is is a good reflection or is it an ugly hideous reflection? Does that which comes out of your mouth indicate a bad heart condition?
Do your best to not ever hurt others with your words, let the reflection of your heart be good and encouraging and not destructive. If the Lord were to search your heart and examine it intimately what would He find? (Because He is doing this all the time whether you know it or want to admit it) The Bible tells us that our hearts apart from Gods indwelling control are wicked and not trustworthy. (Jeremiah 17:9 – The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?) So all this lets us know we need to work hard at guarding our hearts and keeping them pure. This also lets us know to trust God’s word and His counsel in making decisions. We can’t always go by how our heart feels about things. The Bible tells us in the multitude of counselors is safety as long as the lead Counselor is the Lord and we listen to Him above all others.(Proverbs 11:14 – Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.)
II Peter 2:14 gives us another dismal picture of our heart condition. Guard your heart, work hard at keeping it pure. Trust God with your heart. (II Peter 2:14 – Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:) Take a moment today and “search” out your heart. Intimately examine it, so you can really find out what is in it. You may not like what you find, but the Lord can help you improve your reflection. Those around you in your life will be glad you took the time to improve your reflection. May your reflection be one of encouragement, peacefulness, brotherly kindness, love, and patience.
